Crisis and Cyber is Coologee's practice for active incidents and the readiness that precedes them. It covers crisis communications, cyber incident response communications, crisis preparedness programs and reputation recovery after the incident is closed. It is distinct from Protect Brand because the timescale is different: preparedness is measured in months, response in hours.
Companies need this work when an incident is active, when a cyber event has created disclosure obligations and a communications problem at the same time, when preparedness has never been tested against a live decision, or when the incident is over and the reputation has not recovered on its own.
Active response engagements begin the same day. Preparedness engagements run as scenario work with the executive group and legal counsel in the room together, because the failure mode is almost never the words — it is the decision latency.
